Freedom Waters Foundation (FWF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of children, individuals with special needs, and veterans through therapeutic boating and marine experiences is hosting its signature fundraiser from 6 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 9. The “Ripple Effect: A Night of Giving” fundraiser will bring together community leaders, philanthropists, and ocean advocates to celebrate FWF’s mission at MarineMax in Pompano Beach. “Ripple Effect is more than an event, it’s a movement,” said Petula Sankarsingh, executive director, east coast. “Each dollar raised helps launch another life-changing moment on the water, and this year we are thrilled to celebrate Dawn Diehl’s extraordinary commitment to making that possible.” This year’s fundraiser will honor Board Chair Dawn Diehl, event director at Winterfest Inc., who has propelled FWF’s mission forward while inspiring countless families to find freedom and healing on the water, according to FWF. While guests will enjoy a waterfront venue with live entertainment, signature cocktails, and cuisine, they’ll also hear stories of lives changed through FWF’s programs, exclusive silent auctions offering luxury getaways experiences, and opportunities to fuel FWF’s expanding reach. Proceeds from the fundraiser will directly support FWF’s year-round programs, allowing more children, families, and veterans to experience therapeutic boating and marine experiences. FWF was founded in 2006. The foundation partners with local captains, volunteers, and donors to create on-the-water experiences that uplift and heal veterans, children, and individuals with special needs. Tickets are available here.
