M/Y Angiola II, a 98-foot motor yacht worth nearly $9.1 million sank in the off Porto Cervo days after being delivered to its new owner. The vessel sunk after a reported fire that damaged the seals on board, according to The Telegraph.
Fourteen guests and crewmembers on board escaped without injury and were rescued by nearby vessels. The yacht sank at a depth of around 23 feet according to The Telegraph. No fuel leaked from the yacht, but it is under surveillance. The yacht was identified as an Amer F100 built by the Italian shipyard Permare.
