Several yacht crewmembers are suing rapper Travis Scott for battery, assault, and false imprisonment after he allegedly turned a charter trip into a violent night fueled by alcohol. According to court documents obtained by various media outlets, Scott chartered the yacht in Miami in 2024, and demanded to take out a Jet Ski. He was denied after the captain said he appeared too intoxicated. After being denied, Scott allegedly ordered the captain to head to a nearby marina before jumping off the boat onto a dock and disappearing for 30 minutes. Scott returned angry and confrontational, leading the captain to end the charter and tell everyone to leave, according to the court documents. The suit claims that Scott then attacked the captain, threatened to kill him, and told him he was “dead.” Multiple marina workers allegedly rushed to help, only for Scott to assault them. According to the suit, he then charged back towards crewmembers, sending one woman crashing into a table and injuring her. The crew also claim that Scott blocked them from leaving the boat until police removed him. Scott was arrested after the incident, but prosecutors later dropped the disorderly intoxication and trespassing charges.
