The Guy Harvey Foundation recently hosted its second annual International Ocean Film Festival to support World Ocean Day and year-round ocean conservation. Guests enjoyed several ocean-inspired short films while attending Guy Harvey Foundation’s (GHF) International Ocean Film Festival on July 10. Filmmakers representing four countries presented their films to the guests, followed by a Q&A with GHF CEO Jessica Harvey and Bob Powell, CEO of Brightmark. Brightmark is a company that creates solutions for waste through circular innovations with cutting-edge technology. “Visually sharing the wonders of our oceans is so impactful as we promote ocean conservation,” said Harvey. “We appreciate all who join us on this journey, and we especially thank Bob for his time and insights and of course our sponsors who continue to support our mission.” Proceeds from the film festival, raffle, and silent auction support GHF’s education and outreach efforts. GHF is partnered with Broward County Parks and the City of Deerfield Beach to provide Broward County students with hands-on STEAM experiences.
