Four companies and a yacht on exhibit at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) were recognized for their commitment to developing credible, high-impact sustainable solutions in the superyacht industry during last night’s Grand Opening Night at Le Méridien Beach Plaza in Monaco. Developed with the support of the Water Revolution Foundation, the Blue Wake Awards reflect MYS’s ongoing commitment to accelerating environmental responsibility in yachting. "With the Blue Wake Awards, we are sending a clear message: environmental sustainability is not a side topic — it’s becoming central to innovation in yachting. These winners demonstrate how credible, high-impact solutions are already shaping the industry’s future,” said Gaëlle Tallarida, managing director of the Monaco Yacht Show. “We also extend our sincere thanks to the members of the jury for their expertise and dedicated time in evaluating and supporting the voting process. Congratulations to all the winners for their outstanding contributions to a more eco-sustainable yachting industry.” The 2025 Blue Wake Award Winners are: TYKUN TYKUN, a luxury yacht tender that combines Italian design and military style with high performance, received a Blue Wake Award for its H1 hydrogen propulsion system. The system offers high performance with reduced environmental impact, underscoring TYKUN’s dedication to sustainable maritime technology. Tai Ping Tai Ping, a custom handmade and woven carpet manufacturer and editor, was recognized for its Biophilic Programme, a collection of rugs made from undyed, biodegradable fibers like wool, silk, flax, and jute. The elimination of the dyeing process reduces water by 60% and energy by 85%, while lowering carbon emissions in the process. Tai Ping also uses a natural latex backing that meets safety standards, offering an eco-friendly alternative to synthetic materials. Deasyl Deasyl, a technology provider at the forefront of creating green chemical processes an alternative to polluting processes, earned a Blue Wake Award for its Sustainable Yachting Fuel. The fuel is a next-generation alternative to traditional marine fuels, produced through low-energy, green chemistry processes. Deasyl’s fuel cuts CO₂ emissions by up to 93%, advancing decarbonization in the yachting industry. Sanlorenzo Sanlorenzo, a globally recognized brand in the yachting industry specialized in the design, production, and sale of made-to-measure yachts and superyachts, was honored for introducing the world’s first superyacht with Reformer Fuel Cell systems in partnership with Siemens Energy. The system uses hydrogen from green methanol to provide up to 100kW of emission-free electricity at anchor, reducing overall annual emissions by 20-30%. Reduce Reduce, Silver Yachts’ catamaran, was granted The Special Jury Award for its innovative, low-impact design. The catamaran is built entirely in aluminum for recyclability, with a multi-hull layout and low-resistance hull by Espen Oeino International delivering exceptional fuel efficiency and extended range. The award highlights out-of-the-box thinking that prioritizes minimal environmental impact through optimized design, operational efficiency, and the use of recycled, recyclable, or regenerative materials. “This year’s submissions reflect tangible progress in how the yachting sector progresses towards increased sustainability. Our role at the Water Revolution Foundation has been to ensure that every solution is evaluated rigorously, fairly, and with scientific grounding,” said Robert van Tol, executive director of the Water Revolution Foundation. “The winners have not only met these standards but set a benchmark for what credible, high-impact innovation looks like in our industry.
