Yachting Ventures announced their return to the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show with an expanded innovation zone for 12 startups. Yachting Ventures is returning to the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show (ADIBS), bringing an upgraded innovation zone for its startups. Twelve startups will participate in this year’s innovation zone, showcasing their new products and services to the leisure marine industry. Yacht captains and crew with startups are invited to apply to exhibit in this year’s innovation zone. ADIBS is now in its sixth year and is an established platform for the marine industry in the Middle East. The show received more than 34,000 visitors last year, including top-tier exhibitors, industry professionals, and global marine enthusiasts. The show is scheduled from Nov. 21 to 24 and is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region. The United Arab Emirates has become a destination for new businesses and entrepreneurial endeavors in recent years, making the boat show a prime setting for startups. The Abu Dhabi Investment Office established various investment funds and programs for businesses at different stages of their growth, offering financial assistance, venture capital, and angel investments. Not only does the Innovation Zone at ADIBS offer startups a chance to meet potential investors, but it also makes for a great place for other networking opportunities. “We really enjoyed the show, we met a lot of strong contacts for distribution,” said Leah Tennant, CEO of biotech cleaning company Washdown and was one of 16 startups that joined the area in 2023. “The experience really opened the door for us in regard to the Middle East and we are now planning on being based out there next year.” Not only do startups participating in the Innovation Zone get opportunities to network and speak with investors, but participants also enjoy experiences and outings outside of the show. Yachting Ventures hosted a visit to Hub71, the Grand Mosque, and a kayaking trip in the mangroves during last year’s boat show, and they plan on hosting similar excursions again. “We are delighted to renew our partnership with Abu Dhabi International Boat Show this year. As the yachting industry continues to evolve and develop in the Middle East, it is imperative that we prioritize sustainability and nurture the development of innovative solutions,” said Gabbi Richardson, founder of Yachting Ventures. “The Innovation Zone connects startups and entrepreneurs with customers, investors and industry experts – enabling them to showcase their ideas, drive positive change within the sector and initiate business relationships in the region.” If you are a startup interested in exhibiting at the ADIBS Innovation Zone 2024, apply via this link, or email: hello@yachtingventures.co.
